Monday Nights New Voices: Chicago - 6/23/2008
After its successful series premiere, Monday Nights New Voices: Chicago, returns to The Chicago Center for Performing Arts on June 23rd, to continue to celebrate contemporary musical theatre.
This past April, Chicago embraced this exciting series designed to not only showcase but to support rising vocal and compositional talent. This intimate experience is attracting some of the best names on a local and national level.
This month will host two opportunities to become included in the rewarding experience.
Be prepared to be rocked by Brian Mazzaferri and vocalists Ginny Brazier, Julia Gordon, Janelle Kroll, Stephen, Schellhardt and Chris Tuttle, with musical direction by Allison Kane.
Produced by David Tomczak and Allen Sledge in association with Scott Alan, Monday Nights New Voices: Chicago offers its audience a chance for to embrace its own musical theatre community while welcoming its rising participants. The intimacy of the environment makes it an inclusive experience for everyone involved. Being able to hear a composer discuss their writing process and then seeing the end product is a unique way to become informed and entertained and is one of the best ways for theatre enthusiasts to join in the artistic process.
The Chicago Center for Performing Arts is easily accessible by public transit and is located at 777 N. Green Street, Chicago, IL. 60622. The show starts at 7:30PM.
